“Cars for Kurt”
Show & Shine, plate dinner, live & silent auction, duck race, and more to benefit Kurt Decker! Admission required and RSVP preferred, especially for meal tickets.
Kurt’s Story: Kurt is chemical engineer by day and speed shop mechanic by night. He enjoyed both jobs, but his need for speed shone through. He is the record holder at the Texas Mile for the Cadillac CTS-V car, with a stock blower, that he built himself. Kurt does not know a stranger, and is always willing to help lend a hand. On Easter Sunday, Kurt heard something from his shop apartment and when he opened the door, it was in flames. He has been through a tough few months trying to rehab his body that not only suffered burns, but a pulmonary embolism. Kurt now realizes that he not only lost his business, home, and belongings, but also all of his cars, tools and equipment as well. As the story unravels, his insurance policy dropped a significant portion of coverage after Hurricane Harvey hitting the Victoria area. Kurt will have limited funds to rebuild. We all know that he would be the first one to help out, and we want to show him how much he means to all of us. Please come and join the fun if you can! We are also hosting a virtual car show for those who cannot be there in person. RSVP preferred, but not required.
